some kind of program that you can send your children to without a criminal record?

I assume you mean corrections-style boot camps. I don't know if anything like that is available for a child that young who hasn't committed a crime (there might be) but I know one option open to you is military boarding school.

See below for a link to a boarding school resource with schools that go back as far as 5th and 6th grade (that should be about right for a 12 year old fifth or sixth grader).

Most of those places got shut down because quite a few kids died in the care of those camps.

Yea, they are called military school.

But, I know what you are referring to and I'm pretty sure they don't accept 12 and under.... meaning it's 13+

Bootcamps are for men, the children must be contented at their playgrounds for their physical development.

call your local sheriff or police department they can advice you what to do
