Well depending on how long you haven't run, it may be different. I find that for me, if I eat a little less before noon and stick to a better breakfast, I run faster and farther, and tend to be more energized in the run.. then come back home and eat (so you have something to look forward to.)

If you have an mp3 player or an iPod, it may help to play some of your favorite songs, or maybe some songs that cause you to dance or move involuntarily. It may also help to run in places that are unfamiliar to you, like in new hiking areas or nearby neighborhoods. I find that running always in the same neighborhood bores me easily and causes the time to go by slower. It maybe help to do some jumping jacks and stretches beforehand, just to get your blood pumping and moving, so you can feel the adrenaline.

the competition! think about it, if u ran and won wudn't tat be a victory, a boost of self esteem... start by training long distance but slowly and steady pace, then u slowly reverse to, short distance and sprinting.

tip: when u sprint open your legs wide bring your body lower(that stabalizes the body's equilibirum) land on your heels then side then balls-thats on your feet. and you wud realize that running is actually easy.
