I had two babies in high school and both of them were because I was doing things I shouldn't have been doing. If you don't want babies, or STDs, then don't have sex. No matter what a guy will tell you (and trust me, he'll be creative), you do NOT have to have sex with him, and not everyone is doing it. Save sex for when you are older and can handle things like 8,000 dollar hospital/doctor bills, screaming infants at all hours of the night, $15 packs of diapers all the time, and not being able to hang out with your friends or go to prom because you have to stay home with your child.
Just don't have sex. You don't need to be scared about getting pregnant if you don't have sex. It's not contagious.

I would not say most, i would say a few girls get pregnant in high school. If ur scared, then don't do anything with anyone. If u don't u have nothing to worry about dear, and besides, ur 11 ur too young to be even thinking that way. You're smart to be thinking about the consequences before something does happen, so u will make the right choice. Good luck!

Most high school senior girls do not get pregnant. As a matter of fact, the percentage is very low. You are noticing them because they "stick out of the crowd." However, premarital sex is dangerous at any age because of the risk of an accidental pregnancy. How can you prevent it? First, talk to your mother, grandmother, aunt, father, or other responsible adult for their advise and guidance. She'll/they'll give you the alternatives, one of which is to abstain from having sex until you are married. Do this and you should not be afraid and you would go wrong.

You need to be educated NOW on birth control and sex education. The reason that these girls get pregnant is because of ignorance. They don't know how to avoid it and neither do their boyfriends. They don't consider that a baby is a human being who is born into a difficult life just because someone was careless.

Hormones, and no self-constraint, or strict discipline. If u set a vow, or rule within ur self at a early age (as u are) to abstain from sex until u out of school, u wont run into such a problem.
those girls ran into curiosity and peer pressure. make urself strong in ur own resolve, and knowledgeable about everything to do with sex. Knowledge in Power!!

Here in Utah the high schools have day care for students. It's unbelievable. The only way you will get pregnant is if you allow yourself. Keep your clothes on and your legs crossed and you won't have any problems.

honey, just remember to keep your legs closed and you will have nothing to worry about. don't end up like those senior girls.. it's no fun what they're going through. having a baby is ALOT of hard work.. especially when you're still in school. If anything, wait till you're out of school to start having sex.. there's nothing weird about it. It will save you alot of worry and trouble, trust me.

No self esteem or self control, no home training, no role models, no condoms, no idea about what making love is supposed to be about, no common sense, no ability to listen to that one person that keeps telling them not to give there body away. But, mostly just plain stupid.

because they party get drunk and make mistakes...or just make mistakes...
just be careful
don't do "anything" that could get you pregnant until you are married. stay away from drugs and alcohol and high school parties...don't EVER give into peer pressure...
if you just follow those guidelines you'll be very well respected in your high school.
and more people will want to be around you.

If you don't have sex, you can't get pregnant. Just don't let a guy tell you what defines sex.
If you do have it, USE A CONDOM. And don't let a guy tell you that he doesn't want to. If he does, tell him to hit the road.
