Jesus is the name of the physical body that contained the Spirit of God. Therefore, Jesus is God.
When you say you have bought a box of chocolates, does it mean your box is made of chocolates???
No. It means what is inside is chocolate. Can the box be eaten? No. Can the chocolates be eaten? Yes. Likewise, can Jesus be killed? Yes. Can God-the-spirit inside the body of Jesus be killed? No.
Jesus is an english word. The Hebrew word is Yah-shuah.
Jehovah is ALSO an english word. The Hebrew word is Yah-weh.
Jesus says His name was given by God. Yah being the central. The name of God is Yah-weh. Jesus is His only begotten Son.
If you don't understand this basic concept, you will perpetually be stuck in islam or atheism.

Jesus said "You have been with me for so long, and yet you ask to see the Father?"
This statement shows that Jesus is God. The term - Son of God is merely a description of the relation between Him and God.

Jesus' body was offered up at crucifixion. The bread that you eat is the perfect body (without sin) that was offered for your sins.

Of course the Father is greater than Jesus because the Father is in the spirit, and not bounded by physical limitations.
John 1 :1. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God.

Of course, Jesus is no ordinary body. He was born without sin. A perfect man. Not even Adam was perfect.

What is the perfect sacrifice?
A man without sin dying for sin.
That is the perfect sacrifice. Do not be mistaken. Jesus IS God. But the body of Jesus is flesh.

So, you're saying God is chocolate and Jesus is a box? You think the universe was created by chocolate who sent his only begotten box down to save mankind from themselves, and you don't understand why people have a problem "swallowing" that?
I like the part where it's assumed that if you're not a flaming Christian then you must be either Islamic or atheist! Do you do all of your research on religion on Yahoo! Answers, or do you just try to sound that way?

Good for you to still wonder because no matter what anybody says Jesus said......my Father is greater than I,to me that makes God the Father and Jesus the son.

Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians; they teach that Christ was and is divine and of the same nature as God.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!
Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.
(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation
(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.
(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God
(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God
(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth
(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak
(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am
(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him
(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father
(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God
(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him
Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

>>"Jesus is the name of the physical body that contained the Spirit of God. Therefore, Jesus is God."<<
that is idolotry.
God is infinite. a physical form short of the sum of the infinity of all that is, is simply insufficient to "contain" it. heck thats not really even sufficient.
>>"Jesus is an english word. The Hebrew word is Yah-shuah."<<
actually its Yahoshua.
"Yahshuah" is Joshua in hebrew.
>>"Jehovah is ALSO an english word. The Hebrew word is Yah-weh."<<
actually this is wrong too. "Jehovah" is an absurd mockery of trying to pronounce what is called the tetragrammaton. which is the "true" personal name of God. this is a word made of 4 hebrew consonants, Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey.
this word/name has no vowels(in hebrew, vowels are more similar to english's punctuation) and without vowels, there is no way to know how to pronounce it. (there could be a massive amount of variations with those consonants in that order, with different combinations of vowels that could gramatically work)
so even ATTEMPTING to pronounce it, is almost certain to get it wrong.
if you respect someone even lightly, and you *KNOW* that you do not know how to correctly pronounce their name, would you deliberately mis-pronounce their name to their face, and ignore it when they tried to tell you how, even if you could alternatively use pronouns and such?
Jesus was a great mystic. he is a Great Ascended Master, but hes NOT God. and he never was fundamentally any different than you or I, any more than a person who has graduated college is fundamentally different than someone who is in kindergarden. its merely a matter of progress and learning, really.
the idea of Jesus as God, or containing God, is Idolotry.
the idea of the Trinity, is Polytheism.
it really is that simple.

edit:
>>"Jesus said "You have been with me for so long, and yet you ask to see the Father?"
This statement shows that Jesus is God. The term - Son of God is merely a description of the relation between Him and God."<<
actually to me this is him saying "I've been teaching you so long and you *STILL* don't get what I'm talking about? shameful!"
it takes severe self-mind-warping to think it means that jesus was god.
>>"Of course, Jesus is no ordinary body. He was born without sin. A perfect man. Not even Adam was perfect."<<
nonsense. no physical form is "perfect" because it is not complete. Jesus was NOT perfect in any way.
>>"What is the perfect sacrifice?
A man without sin dying for sin."<<
actually thats more of proof of complete non-justice. the idea of a perfect sacrifice is utterly nonsensical too.
what force is overseeing God to limit him to requiring a sacrificelike that.
YOU are as much "God" as jesus was. he simply gained awareness of that nature.

But at communion, doesn't Jesus say "the bread is my body, the wine is my blood." That would mean we're eating the box, not the chocolate.

I believe Joshua Saviour is the english equivalent and Jesus Christ is from the original language of the new testament, greek. Regardless He is part of the trinity being fully man and fully God in a syncretism that humans cannot understan. Comparing him to a box of chocolates may not be a error proof metaphor.

What about the name "I AM" - the one in Exodus when God revealed Himself to Moses as "I AM...." - it is the same name Jesus took as His own. Jesus was the Word before He was Jesus and the Word was WITH God and the Word WAS God. Jesus HAD to be God for the perfect sacrifice to BE perfect...otherwise He would have been just another man born under the curse of sin and could not have saved anybody. Please stop trying to downgrade Jesus - HE ALWAYS WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE GOD!

Your analogy breaks down when you consider that when a box of chocolates is empty, you throw away the box. Jesus rose from the dead in his physical body. So, your "God box" theory doesn't really pan out. Nice try though. Jesus is the physical manifestation of God in human form. Fully human and fully God.
