Ent: yes, the women in Islam typically attend a segregated ceremony while the men are at prayers.

angelz: i don't partake either, at least not beyond being polite. most religions understand that sometimes people want to observe. I live in Thailand, so have been in Buddhist temples several times. Traveled and worked a bit in M.E. so have been in several mosques (also in India where I experienced Hinduism too). I wasn't "searching" at all. frankly seeing the similarities made me more firm in my atheism

Buddhist and Hindu, yes. Islamic, no, except for a pot luck dinner honoring a Muslim speaker whose presentation I attended (but that hardly qualifies as a religious ceremony). I've also been to the services of other non-Christian groups you haven't mentioned here.

I think you have a good point. Far too many people of every religion stick abjectly to their beliefs while knowing very little about other religions. I am a Christian and have never attended such ceremonies, but I regret that I don't know more about other cultures.

When i was a Christian, i went to a buddhist temple type thing. All the buddhists hang out there, it was in the mountains and it was GORGEOUS.

I'm not Christian anymore, but even while i was, i was pretty open minded to other religions.

It was an awesome experience!

I've attended Buddhist and Jewish ceremonies, but haven't had the opportunity to attend the other two.

Never been invited to one. I would go if invited. Are women allowed to attend Islamic ceremonies?

Never, because in my own personal opinion I feel they are not the truth. I feel the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only truth and by going to a ceremony like that would not be beneficial to my beliefs.
