I was given 2 consent form for vaccinations. The first is a vaccination for Diphtheria, Tetanus and Whooping Cough(DTPa) with only 1 injection whilst the second is for Cervical cancer(The vaccination is called GARDASIL.) which is given as 3 seperate injections over the year!!Most pple pick up the virus at some time after they become sexuallly active.
Some pple may also get a bruise or a lump, which will go away after a week or two.

Im only 15 and I seriously DONT want to have 4 total injections throughout the year. But I want to be prevented from diseases!!!

How how? Should i get it or not?

Get them all.

I just got my second shot of Gardasil. Lemme tell ya, getting CANCER hurts a whole lot worse than the course of three shots. I have to admit, Gardasil is one of the more painful injections, but the discomfort subsides in an hour.

As for bruises, I got MUCH worse bruises from falling off my snowboard. But I still snowboard. Gardasil? No bruise there!

As for DTAP, that's necessary. Those diseases pread person to person quite quickly. A lot of folks don't remember what kind of horror diphtheria was. Imagine some leathery crud coating your throat until it finally chokes you to death. Pertussis? I just got over a cough. Imagine coughing so hard and so uncontrollably that you cannot breathe! And tetanus? Imagine your muscles going all stiff and flexed, and you can't do anything to relax them. They call tetanus LOCKJAW. That's what happens: your jaw clenches painfully and won't let up.

Anyway, bite the bullet and take your shots. It sure beats getting sick.

yes, vaccination is important to prevent serious diseases, i know that anybody likes shots but you should understand that after a lot of researches we finally have a vaccine against cervical cancer that is a mayor health problem in the world so probably now 3 shots sound like a lot for you but try to think about all the pain that cancer involves for you and for your family. Be healthy

Certainly vaccination hurts, but think how much more cancer hurts. When I was 32, I took care of my mom for 9 months watching her go from an active, happy woman, to a coma and death 3 days later.

When we are young we think we are impervious to everything. I would never want my children to go through what I did with my mom. Dear, as you grow older life throws you unexpected curves. You should do everything you can to protect your health, for yourself and for the people who love you.

Please get your vaccinations: please don't feel like I am lecturing you. I have a teenage son and daughter, and mom's advice is given out of love.
