"Jehovah" is the personal name of Almighty God the Father. Jesus Christ is the Son of Jehovah.
Christians pray to Jehovah through Jehovah's appointed mediator Jesus Christ. Although some may be ignorant of what the bible has to say, the fact remains that the bible never shows any person addressing Jesus who did not seem to be in the actual presence of Jesus.
(Romans 12:12) Persevere in prayer.
(1 Thessalonians 5:17) Pray incessantly.
(1 Timothy 2:5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus
(John 14:6) Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
(John 16:19,23) Jesus knew they were wanting to question him, so he said to them: “...If you ask the Father for anything he will give it to you in my name.
(John 14:9,13,14) Jesus said to him: “..Also, whatever it is that you ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Thanks for another opportunity to share the bible truth that Jehovah God the Father is a distinct person from Jesus Christ the Son!

Jehovah is God. Jesus is the son of God they are not the same being. We pray to Jesus cause the only way to Jehovah is through Jesus.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John14:12 Most truly I say to YOU, He that exercises faith in me, that one also will do the works that I do; and he will do works greater than these, because I am going my way to the Father. 13 Also, whatever it is that YOU ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son. 14 If YOU ask anything in my name, I will do it.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus

You have a point. In the Bible Jesus teaches the famed "Lord's Prayer" and in it teaches we are to pray to Jehovah. Jesus is the Son of God, not the Almighty.

Jehovah is God.Jesus isn't a messanger hes Gods son and the person that sacrificed his life for us.So people should pray to God a bit more because he did create the world(in a spuiritual sense)and Jesus was his son that sacrified himself.

According to the Bible, Jesus is not a messenger. He IS the SON OF GOD. Jesus acted as our go between with God when he died on the cross (tree) for us and he continues to act as the go between now. In a way, He is our messenger....to GOD. According to most Christian beliefs, Jesus is part of GOD as is the Holy Spirit. Thus, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. It's been names by man as the "trinity"

Jehovah, first of all, is a mistransliteration of the Hebrew word YHWH (or Yahweh). YHWH is God, and Jesus is God. Jesus is YHWH with us. The Father is God, the Holy Spirit is God, and Jesus is God; they are one and He is God. If you pray to one in truth, then you also pray to the other, because it isn't one or the other, it is just God. This is the concept commenly called the Trinity.
If you have trouble understanding this, think about water as an example. With water you have lakes, rivers, oceans, rain, clouds, groundwater, etc; These things are not seperate, water is constantly flowing from one of these to the other, so that water on earth is together part of a whole- we call this the water cycle. Water from lakes, oceans, clouds, and rivers are constantly cycling about forming a single system. Even though our human minds might identify individual things like a lake or a river, in reality these are all constantly together. The same particles of water which might brush against a fish's fin one day in some remote country might be the particles of water you find yourself drinking a month later, because they have flowed from one place to another via the water cycle. So water is one substance, may even be considered one object, but is in many different places and takes on different distinguishable forms.
God could be likened to this analogy. We can identify the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit as three distinct entities, three distinct persons, yet they are in fact one and inseperable. He is one eternal God, there is no real separation in Him, He is indivisible and inalterable.
Furthermore, Jesus, having come in human form, is also the Christian High Priest, similar to the Jewish High Priest who entered into the most holy place of the Temple to communicate with God. Jesus is the intermediary between humans and God the Father, allowing us to enter into God's presence directly through Him, the same way all of Israel was brought before God by the Jewish High Priest. We pray to Jesus because He is our communion (fellowship, rapport) with the Father. Before Jesus, no one but the high priest could enter into God's presence. Now through Jesus we can all enter in, and therefore we pray to Jesus as well as to God the Father, knowing it all goes to the same place, the same person, and is dealt with the same way.
I hope this clarifies things. God bless!

WHEN a disciple asked for instruction regarding prayer, Jesus did not refuse to give it to him. According to Luke 11:2-4, he replied: "When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation." (Catholic Douay Version) This is commonly known as the Lord's Prayer. It conveys a world of information.
For one thing, the very first word tells us to whom our prayers must be addressed—to our Father. Notice that Jesus made no room whatsoever for praying to some other person, image, "saint," or even to him. After all, God had declared: "I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to graven things." (Isaiah 42:8, Dy) Prayers directed to anything or anyone other than our heavenly Father are therefore not heard by him, no matter how sincere the worshiper may be. In the Bible, only Jehovah God is called the "Hearer of prayer."—Psalm 65:2.
Some may say that "saints" act merely as intercessors with God. But Jesus himself instructed: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Also, whatever it is that you ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son." (John 14:6, 13) Jesus thus ruled out the idea that anyone called a saint could serve in the role of intercessor. Observe also what the apostle Paul said regarding Christ: "He not only died for us—he rose from the dead, and there at God's right hand he stands and pleads for us." "He is living for ever to intercede for all who come to God through him."—Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25, Catholic Jerusalem Bible.

Pat Robertson says Jehovah is God, and he's not even a JW. Billy Graham has said the same thing.

If people are praying to Christ, than they are ignoring the example Christ himself set down.
