Never here on Y! Opinions, but after two years my mother got saved. But I and any other Christian would tell you that it wasn't anything I said that changed her heart, it was the Holy Spirit working in her that did it.

One time, in summer camp (not band camp), I won this guy over to our side in a weird game of dodgeball, where you went to "jail" if you were hit or dropped the ball, not out of the game, and the other team could win you back, somehow.
I don't think I was stoned or drunk at the time.

Actually yes and that was my brother that was agnostic most of his life.He said I made a believer out of him by loving him even when though he drank his self to death.I just loved him right where he was at with life.Hey,that's how the Lord loved me.
Thank God for it to because my bro really did drink himself to death.

Yesterday, as it happens. The chap sent me a lovely note, allowing that my information about errors in the bible had completely turned his life around. I was, of course, quite pleased.

I've never tried to "win someone over" to "my side". Other people's beliefs are none of my business, just as mine are none of theirs. Stating one's personal beliefs as they apply to oneself is not proselytizing.

There is no "winning". I have often given people something to think about. That is enough for me.
