Hey, I think that what you are planning sounds really great and it sounds like something that any girl would love, it's romantic and sweet especially when it is in front of everyone. If you are double guessing yourself about this then try asking her friends if they have any suggestions on how to ask her out. That may help.
I don't really listen to classical music and I don't know anything about the cello so I'm sorry but I don't have any pieces to recommend. Good luck though!

I don't think at school is a good idea, but lugging that cello over to her house will not only impress her but her parents too! Now, if she doesn't know classical music, what you play won't matter. I would suggest playing her favorite "love" song, or one of the popular ones that all the girls seem to like adapted for your cello.
Really sweet idea----best of luck!!

It depends. Will the girl appreciate the classical way you intend to ask her out? To tell you the truth, I think it's corny. I'm sure you are a wonderful cellist but I think you should really save it for a time when you already have the girl and you can play just for her, romantically.

Probably not a good idea. I play the clarinet and love classical, but that's a little bit OVER the top! You know? Why don't you leave a note in her locker with a rose in it asking her. That waould deffinately get me!!

mmm..well one thing you have to think of is is she into the cello and classical music?! also think of her feelings you may just emmbarrass her-not to be rude at all but i would just be so devestated if a guy did that to me yeah in a sence it does sound romantic but not at school and her friends you really should do that when it is just the two of you!

"Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison 1964, no kidding. Have you ever heard it on a cello? Me either, that's the beauty of it.
Check it out!

I would try "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber or "Pavane pour une Infante Defunte" by Maurice Ravel. This are lovely romantic pieces.

if she is shy, probably not a good idea. Save taht for when you are dating and have an argument and need to make up. I'd just straight out and ask her.
