Spot exercises will not remove fat from a particular part of your body despite the advertising messages. Aerobic exercises, however, are effective in eliminating body fat in the order that it was added originally. Most diets work if you stick with them. I'm fond of food combining, but by all means avoid Atkins.
You can tone the muscle on your stomach and thighs, however.

i have the same problem. for the stomach i used to do gymnastics, just work out. situps, dishes (holding back up and feet up for 30 seconds, turn onto stomach, do same until can't do it anymore), bicycling in air, all that jazz.
