NO, the requirement was to take one pair of each KIND. So Noah had one pair of beetle on board, just like he had one pair of dog on board.

These stories are not nescessarily to be taken literally, there was a great flood, but the facts are not what matters, but the significance of the story do. Mabye there were 700,000 beetles, mabye none... no one knows but god, and Noah... All that matters is that humans do fall out of line, but we are given hope and a promise of a bright and glorious future, with god, if we can live our live in the accordance of Jesus Christ...

Then yes. But just in case-How many of them know how to swim? Luckily they wouldn't take up much room, as I'm sure the average size is quite small.

no, because most of those didn't exist back then, most of the ones now are off breeds, mutations, micro-evolution type stuff. There were not that many animals around back then.
