I have dark patches all over my chest and back. Some patches have also appeared on my neck, and I'm afraid I'll eventually see them on my face too. They started appearing on me about a year ago and slowly got worse. I've lotioned my body religiously everyday for years, so I don't know why I have these patches.

I visited the dermatologist 2 months ago and he gave me a lotion to use, but the lotion hasn't worked at all. Is there any other method I can use to help clear the patches?
