Sounds like OCD to me (obsessive compulsive disorder) because you can tell the difference between reality and what's in your head, but are unable to stop thoughts (obsessions) or behaviours (compulsions) from happening...like a case of mental hiccups, right? Do you say to yourself, "This is stupid" or "why can't I stop doing this"? I say see your doctor. There are meds that can help, they work for some and not for others, but it's worth checking into.

It does sound like you have some issues going on. You seem to have a high level of anxiety and stress. It seems from what you've said, you can rationally see that your reactions to situations are in fact, irrational. I would strongly suggest you leave off carrying around knives as sometimes accidents happen and you could unwittingly be startled and hurt yourself or someone else unintentionally.
Have you experienced extreme trauma in your life that left you feeling powerless or victimized? This could be why you are so frightened that someone is trying to hurt you. If so, then I suggest you seek out the consultation of a specialist in the field of mental health. This is nothing to be ashamed of as millions of people have therapy to help with lifes issues.
If you are taking drugs, illegal or prescribed, you could be having a reaction to the drugs. Even medications your doctor perscribes can have adverse reactions in some people.
Do you hear voices? Do you manage to function at school/work/socially without problems? All these things could be contributing to your obvious distress.
Do not suffer, I mean this with all respect and sincerity for you..seek out professional help. You'll feel so much better once you are properly assessed and then you can get on with your life in a more relaxed fashion.
Good luck!

It does sound as if you are being paranoid, however that is a mental disorder. You also may have a physical problem. Can you talk to your parents about this and ask them to take you to a doctor for a check up? That would probably be the best for you.
Good luck to you and get help now. This does not have to affect the rest of your life.

I think that, whatever your current situation may be-it is a direct result of what you are feeling, thinking, and believing. Unless you take full responsibility for where you are now, you will never fully have control over where you are going.
Unfortunately, you are borderline delusional. Have you done anything that would bring this upon you? We are magnetic and you are sending out destructive, negative energy. STOP!
Stop, focusing on the negative if someone gets angry with you. Hell, they have given you total control--if you make them mad.
As far as your home is concerned--be careful! You could accidently injure your Mother---acting like Jason or Chucky. Get a hobby or find an activity that will consume your creative mind. Hey, start writing Horror stories or drawing horrific art.

Have you or someone close to you been hurt by anyone in the past or recently?? Has someone threatened you? If not, don't panic about what you are feeling. Just contact your nearest counselling center and talk to someone about this. If this has come on suddenly on very recent it is possible that stress and/or anxiety is to blame. Talk to a professional, there is a lot of great help out there and you should not be ashamed about what you are going through. However, if you feel like you might harm yourself or someone else, please call someone now.

You're quite paranoid, so much so that it's becoming a disorder. I suggest talking to your doctor, or perhaps a therapist. If your paranoia becomes to great, you could easily slip into a depressed mental state, develop a fear of just about anything, or worse. Talk to you doctor or somebody about it as soon as possible to prevent anything bad from happening. The last thing you need is to hide in a dark corner all day with bars on your windows. This has happened to a few people I know, and with one, he would up in a mental institution after becoming insane.

You should seek counseling as soon as possible.
Paranoia can be a disorder. Paranoid Schizophrenia or paranoid personality disorder can cause you to belive others are out to harm you, hallucinate (which can affect any of your senses), hearing voices....
Paranoia can also be symptoms of other neurological diseases.
This can be treated so you can get back to living a more peaceful life.
Good luck to you!

I think you might want to be evaluated. I dont think you are crazy, but I think you should have it check while you are still worried about it. I think that is a problem and you even noticed it. I seriously think you should have it check before it goes beyond that, specially if you are sharpening knives, etc. Please get help somehow. Worried.
