I'm hearing impaired (I'm deaf in one ear and must wear a hearing aid in the other) and share your frustration.

While I'd hate to discover that this theory is correct, I'm beginning to suspect that evolution has predisposed women to only be attracted to genetically perfect partners, and to overlook those who are anything less then perfect.

However, at 23, I am still hoping that this theory is incorrect.

That's not really true. It's the people you have met. Guys in wheelchairs might be a concern with people if they think they will have to take special care, but I think it is really fine. I don't differentiate between guys and guys in wheel chairs. They are still guys. Besides, you should not worry about being single, when you find that people who truly is for you, you will have a wonderful relationship.

Yes, girls get turned off by handicaps, but not the kind you're thinking of.
They're not necessarily turned off by a wheelchair, but the guy in the wheelchair. If you keep whining and complaining like a little puppy dog, you're gonna get treated like one. Sure, you might get some affection and attention, but out of pity, not attraction. And pity never gets anybody laid.

i know this is gonna sound really really awful, but some guys in wheelchairs have those bags that collect their urine... and it smells bad. that is the only reason i can see someone not wanting to get close to a guy in a wheelchair. we have someone at work like that.. he is really nice but smells...
