Someone told me that each day you should drink half your weight (in oz) in water (i.e. if you weigh 150 lbs. you should drink 75 ounces of water per day)

Situations that require an increase in water.... an illness, like a cold or the flu, or excessive persperation (sweating releases water)

I never thought it was possible to drink too much water until I read Dr. Gott today. New studies indicate that too much water makes your body lose electrolytes.

If you feel thirsty, you are already starting to get dehydrated. I keep a water bottle with me at all times.

I also noticed that it is harder to take in your required water amount in the winter time, because you don't get as thirsty as you do in the summer when it is hot outside.

properly i study an editorial that because your body is made up of 60% of water than you dont fairly want those 8 glasses. You dont want those 8 glasses of water because you get fairly some that water in juice, soda, and different issues. so that you fairly purely want to drink 5 glasses an afternoon.. i wish i helped you. so purely 5 glasses perhaps 4 and also you'd be advantageous.

8 to 10 glasses of water per day.
Increase water consumption when sweating, like exercises or a very hot day, when you body become dehydrated.
When you're thirsty, that means you're dehydrated.
You just don't want to drink an excessive amount of water at one time, but people don't usually do that anyway.
Water for us is like oil for a car, it lubes your body.

8 8oz glasses a day is what is recommended, but you should always increase the amount that you drink if you are eating a lot of sodium (frozen dinners have a lot of sodium), exercising or if it is hot. You should also try to drink more water if you have been drinking alcohol or caffienated beverages because they tend to dehydrate you. If thats the case Doctors recommend 10 8oz. glasses.

About a gallon a day. If your in the heat and sweat allot. drink more. Too much water can kill you, but around a gallon a day is good, your body is made up of at least 75% percent water.

64 oz or 8 glasses.

try not drinking tap water though.

I would recommend some sort of filtration. Reverse Osmosis or Distilled are the way to go.
