fair question.
Men are doers, we take action. We like to know that we do things well. So while compliments like "you're so sweet" and "you're so handsome" are appreciated, we really feel stuff like "you're so good at..." or "you know just how to..." It gives us a sense of accomplishment.

People have insecurities right? Those things that they may be insecure about that you love compliment those. Be careful not to make them feel like you are pointing those things out though. Guys this may work for women to. Knowing that someone not only accepts but lov es your flaws makes you feel more comfortable.

I prefer the honest kind, but other than that I like the ones that play to my insecurities. That being different from each guy makes it hard to generalize like that. Just start giving them and see how he reacts. I'm pretty sure he will not be angry that you complimented him.

hii if men are caring nice to all then just a thank you is good enough but if a man wants asks for more then hes only thinking of him and hes own needs, because caring and helping cost nothing as its done out of kindness so men should be happy with just a thank you.

I agree with the recognition part, nothing sucks more than trying to do something really nice for someone and having them complain about a small detail.
