it has to be raw unpasturized apple cider vinegar to be healthful. you can mix it with water and honey, or use on salad or both..

There is a book on it. The one I'm thinking of said to mix a tablespoon of vinegar and a teaspoon of honey with about 4 ozs of water. You were to drink that before each meal and one before bed. I do not know anyone wo has done that, but I have seen supplements pills of apple cider vinegar, B-6 and maybe lecithin.

If you have ulcers or a problem like that, start slowly and pay attention.

Yes, it is true. For some people, of course. Old folk remedy.

My mother used to drink a mix of grape juice/acv every day. Called it "jogging juice". She took it for joint health however, not heartburn.

"Stomach Acid Self-Test: Determine if hydrochloric acid is needed by taking a tbsp. of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. If this makes your heartburn go away, then you need more stomach acid. Sip apple cider vinegar mixed with water with meals. If it makes your symptoms worse, then you have too much HCL and shouldn't take enzymes that contain HCL."

No sure, but its a great base for sauces.

I make a mint sauce with it (1/3 cup apple cider vingar, 2 tblsps icing sugar, 1/2 cup fresh mint, chopped). Great with lamb.

It does have a calming, soothing feel to it, so I could see how it could help heartburn
