Is giving my boyfriend space a good move, and what does the word SPACE mean for men?

First off, it's not a crisis. Famine, that's a crisis. This is a problem.
So relax.
Men are independent creatures and, like it or not, they can never be fully, 100% tamed. Not unless you plan on whipping the man out of him and turning him into your little *****.
Which is to say, giving a guy space is, while scary and slightly risky, not a bad idea. If he feels he was really meant to be with you, that space will give him the time to realize it. If he feels he wasn't really meant to be with you in that space, clinging on to him isn't going to convince him either, so you might as well let him go.

Well, it depends... did your boyfriend ask for space? "Space," in this context, usually means giving them some room... as in backing off a bit. Not spending as much time with that person, or talking to them on the phone as much, etc. If he asked for space, then I would back off completely, and let him call you, or make the effort to see you.

If you are the one that thought of the idea of giving him some space, I'm not so sure that's a good idea. It's best not to play head games in a relationship. Just be yourself, be open, and be honest.

Sometime people ask for space when they are in a relationship, because they want it to be over, and don't know how else to end it. Ask your boyfriend if that's what he wants (if he's the one that suggested "space.")

It means you don't check up on him several times a day or call him several times a day or insist you know where he is all the time as well as being able to have some time to himself without getting asked a lot of questions afterwards. If you want a definition in one word: space = trust.

It sounds like you may not have a choice in the matter if he is requesting that he needs space.

"Space" means basically time to oneself to reflect on the relationship, what he wants, what the next step will be.

Better that he takes the time now, than to have you marry him, and then he suddenly decides that he may have made a mistake.

depends on your idea of 'space'.

If space means getting to sleep with other girls then obviously its timre to end the relationship because if he can sleep with other girls then obviously he doesnt love you and theres no point being with him.

However, if space means just giving him his own time then thats totally fine. Even when you live with your family, dont u need space from them at times to be alone??
