In two places in my back, I keep getting very weird pains. In my lower back, right in the centre of my spine, I get a dull ache in my bones that turns into a burning feeling that almost feels like it is on the outside, although not quite. The burning sensation lasts, at the most, five seconds, every five minutes while the dull pain is there. It makes me jump. The dull pain comes and goes all throughout the day. It is fine, though. I can still go to work and be productive.

(Will add more details.)

The second pain is the worst. It starts out as a numbness/tingling/spiralling just underneath my shoulderblade. I can touch my back and hardly feel it. It feels dead.
Then, terrible pain starts shooting out from the centre of the numb spot, into the other side of my back.
I will start feeling like I am suffocating, like something is wrapped around me, like when you need to get an x-ray done and they put that lead vest on you. It'll start getting hard to breathe, and I'll start getting dizzy. This lasts for about ten minutes, and then the spiralling pain and suffocation start to fade away slowly, only to be replaced by an overall weak feeling, and numbness under my shoulder blade again.

This happened once every few days, up to once a day, and now it is about three times a day.

(PS: I am female, 19, 105 lbs, 5'5. I have asthma, and I know this isn't it.)

Also, this concert is a big deal for me, but I won't go if this pain gets any worse.

You should go see a dr ASAP. This sounds scary.

Just guessing, but is there any chance you have a cracked rib? Been doing anything that could cause that?

This doesn't sound like heart but still DOES sound sort of serious. It's scary to read your question!

If you go to www.webmd.com, you'll find a neat interactive feature where you can check symptoms (it's the little human figure on the home page - mess around with it and you'll see how it works). Read through their questionnaire depending on what symptoms you're checking - it will tell you whether to call a doc NOW or if you can wait.

Good luck! Hope you can make the concert!

go to the emergency room and get checked, it may be a pinched sciatic nerve or much more, go get it checked, in the mean time use an ice pack in the area. That will reduce any swelling and take an anti inflamatory such as Ibuprofen. If you don't have an ice pack use and frozen bag of peas or corn. Good luck God bless and put angels on your pillows.
