ive had eczema for 8 years now and been to numerous dermatolagists with them all saying the cause is a different thing! have you changed any soap powder, soap? use luke warm water to wash with, stay away from spicy food this prevents flare ups and inflammation, maybe you need to use a steriod cream to take away this until its more in control see doctor, i use fucibet/fucicoid by leo company.
try www.dermatechrx.com this company will send very usefull info to your email regularly for FREE with pictures and solutions! hope you find this info good to use.

For your scalp, go to your nearest pharmacy and check out the coal tar and saline shampoos. My guess is that you do not have dandruff, you have scalp psoriarsis. Dandruff shampoos will not help. That is a waste of money. Try this shampoo...
MG217 Medicated Tar Shampoo. Just leave it on for about 15 minutes. It should relieve the scales. Good luck.

Not exactly an answer but a doctor has told me to avoid water on the effected area and use moisterizer alot.
As a side note I was in China for a couple of weeks last year and for some reason had no excema problem during that time but as soon as I got back to states it came back. Could it be something in my home? Maybe...

I have a question for you. It may or may not be of importance. My son used to have really bad flare ups. Bid red rashes and a whole lot of itching and scratching.Do you eat a lot of processed meats or foods with MSG? MSG (mono-sodium-glutamate)this "IS" a big cause of eczema. I took great care to eliminate this from my son's diet once I found out it was the number one cause and there was such a big change. MSG is in many processed foods, If you eliminate it from your diet, you "will" see a big change in your eczema. Good Luck! Always read the label and know what you're consuming.

Use Ivory or Dove soap. Benadryl (antihistamine) can be used to relive the itching. And if it continues to get worse or uncomfortable, see a doctor.
