Which are the best honeymoon spots in the Caribbean? All inclusive resorts are more than welcome. As always money is a concern, but don't let that keep you from making suggestions if you really feel they're worthwhile.

Thanks to all in advance.

There are several Caribbean Islands that make wonderful Honeymoon destinations. They are all very similar, however different in some ways.

Depending on your departure city would determine which would have the best prices/directness of a flight.

Jamaica is the 2nd top Honeymoon destination so they must be doing something right. The thing about Jamaica is you don't need to stay in the most expensive resort, but it is important to choose wisely because this will make or break your Honeymoon. Jamaica is popular because of there All Inclusive properties and because from the US it's one of the closer islands, more flights, etc. The cost tends to be a bit friendlier.

Cayman is better for a family vacation in my opinion, lovely of course, but quite expensive and more of a condo type place, than resort.

I'm not a huge fan of the Bahamas, considering depending on your beach you can find yourself on a rockier one.

St. Lucia is the Hawaii of the Caribbean with waterfall, rain forest, volcano, lush, tropical and hilly island it truly is a gem! This one always tends to price more than say Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bahamas, etc.

I sell a lot of the Mayan Riviera area, which is South of Cancun. It is a complete opposite of Cancun and with it being on the Caribbean side, but yet Mexico it is quite a popular choice.

I would strongly suggest working with a very seasoned agent, or a Honeymoon specialist. We ask various questions to help us determine where we feel is best for you with first what you want out of your Honeymoon, while trying to stay within your budget.

Remember to start planning in advance. Prices are based off availability and depending there might be a promo code that could save you some money.

Congrats on your Engagement!

The nature island...The commonwealth of Domininca..situated 15 32' N 61 18'W.The main island where Pirates of the Caribbean 2&3 were filmes(so u can have an idea of how beautful the place is and also visit few of the sites where the movie was filmed.)
Simply becasue its not over commercialised and overcrowded with tourists and tourist tacky services.Services and ple are genuinly friendly,
Many nature romantic spots to choose from such as one of the 365 rivers and thus ucountable secluded waterfalls.
It is not an overdeveloped country thus making it the best kept secret of the Caribbean...few ple know this but it was rated #2 best spot in the atlantic for scuaba diving and snorkelling by Readers choice 2007
It was branded as the Whale watching Capital of the Caribbean
Hold the 2nd largest boiling lake in the world and the only one in the western hemispher and largest one of its kind.
If you are the honeymooners that are looking to get away from it all in a peaceful country surrounded by beauty perhaps in one of the eco friendly resorts perched in the rainforests..then Dominica is the ideal place..get away

Check it out 4 u self in the websites

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!!

I'm not a travel agent but I have traveled to most of the islands in the Caribbean and have my favorites.

Anguilla has the prettiest beaches and very friendly people. It's not a big party island. Turks and Caicos is another awesome island if you like quiet. (I'm comparing these islands to Cancun etc) My favorite is St John in the US Virgin island. Aside from the beautiful beaches and lovely people, I like it because it's an island to explore or just lay back and hang out. It's a ferry ride away from St Thomas and another ferry ride away to the British Virgin Islands. If you are into sight seeing. The food is good and it's a safe island. I also like St Maarten/St Martin. Awesome food and beaches.
I like all the Sandals resorts (they are Al-Inclusive) but expensive.

You don't say when you will be on your honeymoon or where you are traveling from. Don't want you on a 10 hour flight.

I always do my research and than I call my travel agent to book any trips. I like the feeling of having some one to call if I need help or I have any concerns. Besides, they have contracts with resorts and airlines that may help the budget. We just booked a trip to Cancun and our travel agent was able to save us a couple hundred dollars.

Good Luck, happy researching and safe travels.

The best all inclusive resorts (if you are visiting from the United Kingdom) are Cuba, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Hundreds of people have told me that they really enjoyed the Dominican Republic, service was excellent etc. etc. so it's well worth taking a look at the following site where you can find some great discounts for 2007:
