when i was young-er (10 years ago)... one of my roommates got on my nerves so bad.
Then one day, she used my jello mold to make orange jello. Hell no! I hate orange jello!
So i removed her jello from my mold and wiped it all over her stuff and waited for the ***** to get home so I could cuss her out and whoop her @ss! She went in the room like a punk and we argued through her door. The other roommate called my dad and my dad tried to calm me down. Didn't work.
I moved out soon after.
When you get to the point where you feel like cussin her out or fighting, its time to go. Because a bad roommate situation could turn real ugly and cause a lot of problems. If I did get the opportunity to kick her butt, who knows... I coulda killed her and be in prison right now.

it sounds like there is more to this equation than just the issue of the cat. without getting into great detail.... room mates can be tricky people to deal with if the bills are not current with everyone, the chores not divided and followed through on equally... it can really be trying sometimes. I think that by claiming the cat as her own, this should be a warning sign that there probably is something bigger going on that we as readers and impartial answerer's don't know about (or need to) You DO need to confront her in a CALM, RATIONAL manner and make your thoughts and feelings clear.
DO NOT!!! I repeat... DO NOT get into an argument, become petty or attack her personally... remember that you have to live with her for the time being and there is not any reason to provide ammunition that can and probably would be used against you. ie: exacerbating her current habits that irritate you.
Hope this helps and good luck with you situation.

HAY! no need for cursing or cussing her out here's the remedy and believe me you shall have no problem after you do this- alright !
now go low get serious and low and proper and look her in the eye and mean it and use strong body language but quiet your tone so she must bend to you to hear almost this shows you are in control tell her just what you mean and don't play with what you say and don't blink and you should have done this when it happened! she may have been speaking of the love for the animal not the possession of the animal
never wait on an issue confront right away! always say what you mean and mean what you say never threaten this is bad for character!,

Uh I know what you mean. Remain calm until you move out because loosing your cool might make the living situation worse. You can talk to her but if she's immature this might not help as much as you would hope. Some people can be friends but just can't live together. Tell her when things bother you, and make plans to move soon.

Sometimes a good two-way yelling session can do a roommate rel'ship a world of good. Try to avoid cussing, though, as well as any harsh confrontation. Vent some steam, but don't burn any bridges.

Not a good idea to cuss anyone out. Pick up a pillow, beat it until it falls apart or until you've regained your cool and then sit down with her and discuss her irritating behavior. Be prepared for comebacks about your behavior and then find compromise.

Is it really a problem that she enjoys your cat? As long as she is affectionate to the cat and you aren't afraid she is going to do anything weird to the poor kitty, I would let her enjoy it. I'm sure the cat likes the attention.

you should wait till she or you move out, cause there could be some problems if you do it before. When she says stuff like that just corrected her, she'll get the idea.

It sounds as though she is trying to push your buttons, and succeeding.
Can one of you move out? Doesn't sound like a healthy situation.
