In Italian "spedizione rapida" (that's the correct spell) means "quick delivery".

Edit

Martox is right: if you buy from somebody in Italy they could assure "spedizione rapida"; that can means they get your package ready for shipping quickly; so, you place an order on the morning and the items are packed and ready to ship on the afternoon of the same day, for instance.

Edit 2

I've just now read your edit; so, if somebody asked you to post from your Country to Italy, they are simply asking you to use a quick delivery option, not the usual one, slower and cheaper.

I would rather write "Spedizione Espresso" that's more used in the postal language than "Spedizione Rapida".

In correct italian it should be "spedizione espressa" (in Italian the adjective must agree with the noun's gendre) but Espresso had become with the use a kind of noun, meaning by itself 'Express mail'. Therefore you cold also write just "Espresso".

"Spedition" means delivery.
Rapid seems to mean express/fast

Express delivery (if no one else responds)
