I want opinions only: but why do people expect God to do things for them if they are not doing right or people always talk about God is good but when something does not go your way then you doubt God or say God is not real. It is easy to believe God when things are good and fine. But what if things are going bad. People blame God for everything bad in the world and disrespect God. Then the same people expect God to bless them. People think that God owes them something but God does not owe them anything. Like I said I want opinions only.

People expect God grant their wishes like a genie in a bottle, and doubt his existence when he doesn't. God doesn't snap his fingers and give us the new car we want, or wave his hand and take away cancer. If we have a relationship with God, he will be there to support as we work to better our situation, and he will provide us the comfort we need if we're going through a time of trial. One thing I can not stand is the "Why God Won't Heal Amputees" website. The reason this argument doesn't work is because God had a reason for amputees to go through the hardship that they've gone through. I can't tell you why, because I'm not that person. All I know is that I've been through some pretty terrible experiences, and I understand why they happened to me now. I have peace about them.

God exists all the time whether i am paying attention to her (gotcha) or not. Whether I give thanks or not.

I don't expect anything from God but love, for that's what God is. i don't blame god when life sucks. I need to figure out why life sucks, it's not God's problem. I believe that God trusts me enough to live the life I've been given. She's got better things to do than answer my every little whim of a prayer.

And here's the thing, I am always grateful. I am usually joyful. And I know that I am loved by the entire Universe. Even when life sucks.

don't blame god. God is not doing anything bad or good. They are only observers of our behavior. It is us that do all the bad things & good things. Because most of us don't know where we are going what we are doing. Lord buddha discuvered this over a peiriod of time that it is our mind which means what you think what you get. Our mind is like a mental movie camera. If you focus on good things (as per your own individual judgement) you will store good things & you will be able to see good things. If you focus on bad , the results are bad.

We are all what we have thought, as a man thinketh so is he.

This reminds me of a story I read recently about a young woman who was struggling with doubt. She went to her minister and was advised to read her bible and pray. She asked God for signs that He was there, read her Bible but still no God.She eventually gave in to satan and became an atheist.I have seen this happen time and again.Reading your Bible and Praying is wonderful and a much needed source for all Christians but usually when were doing this and we are still experiencing difficulty we need to look deeper.Pride, unforgiveness, hidden sin often hold back those that appear to be seeking. After a time they become convinced that there is no God and if there is He is to blame. If your a good parent and you see your children fighting out in the yard your not going to take them out a treat.Your going out there and do some chastising because you love them.

In my belief, gods are beings that exist as a part of this universe, subject to its laws but not bound by human limitations. I don't expect them to do things for me, I don't expect them to care anymore than I would care for a specific ant. There are many people who pick up ants and other "insignificant" creatures to take care of and sometimes its nice to hope I am some gods' pet. I am responsible for my life. Sometimes, I am the vctim of bad luck but I can choose to use that as an opportunity or an excuse. I am in charge of my life, my choices and my outlook.
Just one opinion.

I wonder the same thing too. We are all trying to grow spiritually though. I think we should all be like Job who never got mad at God even he was very rich and had a huge family but they were all taken away and killed. He knew God was good when things were looking up and when things were going horribly wrong. Just like in the story of Job, Satan caused all those bad things to happen to him and God only allowed it to test him.

I have always felt that God works in mysterious ways. If there is a prayer left unanswered, it simply means that I need to be patient because God has something else in store for me. There are tests all the time that God uses to see just how faithful we are. This is my opinion, but so far it seems to be right in my life.

People are getting their philosophies confused, they are confused about they're religion entirely in my opinion. On one hand, they are being told that "God is love," and on the other they are being told that the same God will cast them into the depth of an eternal fiery hell for any transgression. I would be confused too if I were Christian.

I don't know. Why do people thank god when things go right, but blame the evil for their own short comings? Why not just accept your own responsibility for your own actions, good or bad?
