It depends on how you feel about them. If you feel you have a real problem with their expectations of you, try talking it out with them and share your concerns without laying blame on anybody. You never know. They may not understand how this impacts your life.
Personally, I take care of my mother. I feed her, I wash her. I pay the mortgage and the bills. I do the cooking and the dishes and the cleaning and I work too. I do this because I love her. It's not always easy or pleasant but I am glad to do it. My motto is "Cherish the people in your life and honor those whom you love. Life is only a temporary existence".
Talking with your parents about it responsibly may help make a difference with your situation.

I didnt do the cooking, in part because my father is a fussy eater, but I was expected to do the yard work (or at least help a lot, all weekend during leaves season) and the laundry, and portion of keeping the house clean (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathroom) and clearing the table and doing dishes after dinner.

I think that everyone's answer is going to vary upon their upbringing. People have to take into account cultural differences. I am african-american/dominican and my parents expect me to cook/clean (whenever I'm at home, I now go to a college that is hours away) but they also are the ones who work and pay the bills. No, they don't ALWAYS expect me to, but as long as I'm there for free.... what choice do I have?

all you ungrateful kids need to understand who pays the bills and buys your clothes, when you get a job and pay bills than maybe you can have a say so but until then shut up and put up with it. i can't believe you brats are even complaining about something so simple. i wouldn't mind if my kid worked and paid the bills while i stood home and cooked and cleaned.
