Draupadi isn't a source of embarasment for hindus, the fact that not many girls are named after her,for her parents don't want her to end up with 5 hubbys ,isn't true either.Draupadi was great ,poised,best fiend of krishna and fiery-always fighting fr justice-but all her life,she suffered constantly - first she is made to marry 5 men [the hostility towards her after this,was only temporary] and worse- she was humiliated in front of a court,by her inlaws , then she was harrassed be kichak ,then she had all her sons slaughtered while asleep.
