I've been seeing this guy for one month, going out on dates and things like that and we've been intimate twice. He just moved to town and recently broke it off with someone that was horrible to him. We haven't talked about being a couple because he says he's still hurt and wants to take things slow. The only problem is that we totally click and are extremely attracted to one another but sometimes if I ask to come over he'll say he wants to rest or just chill out. I can't tell him that I don't like being put off because I'm not his girlfriend. I don't know if this means he's dating other people. I've been trying to wait for him to ask me out more than once a week, but he hasn't. Do you think he may be here playing the field and not wanting to settle down again so soon? Or do you think he's just trying to get to know me so he can be certain he doesn't make any mistakes he made with his ex?

"being intimate" twice in the first month -is NOT taking it slow.

You shouldn't have 'coupled' if you are not a couple. This is an ingredient for heartbreak. casual and intimate don't mix well.

If you don't like being put off - tell him you don't like being put off.

If you don't want to be "Used" long term; then don't allow him to "use" you now.

Well first of all I think this guy is still licking his wounds from his previous relationship. Second, men like to retreat, have their alone time sometime so don't be put off. If he wants to go slow, let him, you said you click so what is the rush to label your relationship? It has been my experience if you have the whole "where are we going" talk, it tends to pressure men and makes them very uneasy. Enjoy your time with him and if he isn't ready for anything else, see where the relationship takes you, one day at a time.

Without really knowing anything about him I think it's safe to say that some of us just need some time to be to alone. Whether he is actually just relaxing or not is another question. Let him know how you feel and just be carefull to not become the "rebound girl"
Best of luck.
