I don't eat a lot of calories and I try to eat high protein foods. Will this help me to lose weight? What effects does protein have?

Protein is great! If you don't consume enough protein, you'll lose muscle mass. Muscle burns more calories than fat and also keeps you feeling fuller longer, so you have a win-win situation!

Eat up!

If you don't get a minimum of daily calories, your body will do all it can to stop you from loosing weight, no matter the type of food you will eat.

Protein are important, but carbohydrates, and fats are also important. When proteins are part of a mix type of meal, they will help to keep you full for a longer period of time. This will help with portion control.

A healthy balanced diet, along with 60 to 90 minutes of daily physical activity and enough sleep will allow you to reach a healthy body weight.

Protein is needed all the time ..... bu in the right amounts. There is a ratio of elements ..... nutrients .... vitamins ... that you should consume on a regular basis.

I know that some high protein/low carb diets may be popular ..... and these may provide quick weight loss but .... to be healthy .... the key is still t eat a balanced diet.

Weight is affected by your body .... genetics plays a part and even your learned eating habits.

Proper weight is many times ..... a combination of activity ( exercise ) and caloric intake. It takes a lifetime of healthy eating, which sometimes requires you to change your current eating habits.

Best of luck.

Protein helps to boost your muscle energy. That's why athletes eat it a lot. You just have to make sure that you exercise and that you eat the right kind of protein. Stay away from the red meats and eat lots of chicken and even vegetables. Tofu has a lot of protein and it's also very healthy for you. Just make sure that you eat some carbs too.

Protein is great, but it depends really on your metabalisim if your trying to lose weight. A good fast paced excercise works for burning calories. Protein is a building block for healthy growth, but it may have adverse effects if you don't help your body to digest it. The quicker your blood flows the quicker the nutrients will disperse in your body.

not quite sure about weight loss, there are so many different angles on it, but protein is really good for you, so you'll have more energy to exercise... i went three weeks without any meat besides fish and i got really sick, so just keep eating meat.
avoid lots and lots of red meat (once or twice a week is what i do) and get lots of fish protein and chicken into you, along with beans and soy.

You will lose weight more easily if you go on a high protein diet. You should still eat some carbohydrates and fats though.
