Microwaving has no effect on nutritional values. Some foods don't reheat well in a microwave due to the fact that a microwave heats from the inside out.
Foods high in moisture content reheat the best.

Its an urban legend that Microwaving takes the nutrients out. However, if you really insist on not using a microwave you can put soups pastas casseroles stews etc on the stove, and meat and veg in a warm oven to reheat.
Takes a lot longer though, so I would take my chances with the microwave!

Nutrients are comprised of vitamins and minerals. Some vitamins are lost in most cooking processes and can be destroyed by heat. Take boiling vs. steaming. When you boil your veg's, you toss out some of the vitamin content with the water. When you steam it, you reserve more of it. Minerals, however, cannot be destroyed. Not even by a microwave. In all reality, eat a multi-vitamin every morning and you will be fine.

heat of any type destroys nutritional value. A microwave works by heating up water molecules in food.

oh my goodness! How did humans ever survive before the invention of the radar range?!
Ever hear of a stove? ;)
seriously though, use the microwave- it's convenient. But don't heat anything in plastic (I don't want you consuming dioxin and other toxins). Use microwave-save glass.

beware the evil micowave! it not only takes out the nutrients, but it puts in electromagnetic particles that allows the government to track and record your every act, especially the personal ones. best that you build a fire in your yard with an armload of wood and warm your food on a stick. soup is bit difficult.
