Several soldiers are protesting the Iraqi war with a 'Petition for Redress'. They are disappointed/frustrated by the senselessness of it. They want the soldiers to come home now, safe and alive. Those of you who advocate the war, would you take their place if they do come home?

It's about time. Nobody ever asked them if they had a problem fighting for oil and such, and our military has been used for political gain. I'm very glad somebody has found the courage to say stop, this isn't right.

I have a good friend in the Army and when hear of soldiers of course I think of him but I wouldn't want to take his place. I too want the soldiers to come home safe and alive but they have to do what they are told.

I have news for you. If we loose this action in Iraq and withdraw our troops proving that America does not have the stomach for it, it won't be long before the terrorists resume their attacks here. In a way you could say the civilians of America, Iraq, Israel, Europe, Afganistan, and many other countries will be taking the soldiers' place.
Many, many thousands of troops have now served in Iraq. Why is it that we only hear from "several" that are dissatisfied and that is supposed to cancel out all the rest that believe in what we are trying to accomplish over there?
