you have marriage ideas at you finger tips......research it on the Internet...write down you ideas....and then how to achieve them.
but first you are going to have set a budget. Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems that I recently read that the average wedding cost $25,000.00. Any way, I am sure that you can some sort of check list online

Well, I am recently engaged too (Friday to be exact). I refuse to spend no more than $5,000 on my wedding. It's probably going to be more like $2500 at the most. We have other things that are important like renting and setting up our apartment and things like that. After all, you gotta live after your wedding.

We are both 22 and have never been married before, so this is all new for us. We are planning it together (with help of other people as situations arise). We started out by making a list of all the people we're inviting. This is very important because you need to know how many people you've got to make room for. We've also pretty much decided on one location. It has a chapel and a reception area and also offers catering along with the package we're interested in. The package is $2200 and has most of the big things included.

Today I went to the book store and picked up this really awesome book that helps you plan a wedding in 6 months or less. Our wedding date is September 23, 2007 (our first anniversary). It's got me really excited! ^_^

Anyway, I recommend getting your fiance in on the plans. The way I see it, this is the man I'm spending my life with and making all my other decisions with. He needs to help make these decisions too.

Alright. Outdoors. Good...just uh..have a backup. Look on www.weather.com and check your local areas best months, and go for that month. But have it near some nice hotel or something, where you can move inside so its not ruined if it rains.
For color ideas, try picking your favorite piece of jewelry (besides your ring) and taking all the colors out of it for inspiration. Same with flowers, pillows, anything that inspires you.
Buy an interesting dress, besides the typical strapless A-Line gown with a little bit of floral beading.
www.theknot.com has a lot of everything you need. I highly suggest using that as a complete guide.

There are a couple of things you need to do first. Decide what time of year you want your wedding. Winter, summer, fall, or spring. Next decide if you want a small or large wedding (mostly this is decided because of your budget you have set aside for your wedding). Next do you want local or destination wedding.
Go to places like theknot.com or http://www.nycityweddings.com/chat/ this site has tons of ideas w/ pics from other brides. Even if you're not from NY you can get tons of ideas here.

Bridesmaids/Groomsmen, ask them and pic your colors. I think thats the first thing you need to do.

Good Luck and congratulations:-)

Don't question your own ideas. Build on them. A good start would be to register on the weddingchannel.com website and use their checklist. Theknot.com and Brides.com have similar checklists as well. You'll find they're invaluable aids. Talk to your Maid of Honor and bridesmaids, your Mom and FMIL, siblings, for ideas and help pulling the ideas together.

The way you feel is normal. I've changed my mind so many times, it's not funny!

If you tell them what you like and your budget they will plan the perfect trip for you.Best of all if you use there service to book your trip there service is free b/c the fee is paid by the hotel or resort.

Look for your dress first. Your dress will inspire the theme. Mold your theme and style around your dress - you will be amazed how it will all come together.

congrats & good luck!
