No, unfortunately there is nothing that can override the existing code of DNA that dictates how fast your hair grows. We're all about the same, though some can grow it faster than others. Why? That's the mystery inside their DNA! As long as you're generally healthy and eat right, there should be nothing holding back the growth of your hair. Anorexics, for example, could run into a problem like that. So just eat right and keep healthy, and all else will follow!

Everyone's hair grows at their own rate. The average is 1/2 inch a month. Eating a good diet also helps, but if your hair grows at a slow pace, then not much is going to make it speed up. Fish oil is for your heart health, not so much for your hair.
A warning about fish oil--there are oodles of brands out there, but many manufacturers will offer fish oil that is of no benefit and is of such poor quality that it could be of detriment. Many times the cheaper brands contain rancid oils.
Check out Infinity2's "essential fatty acids" which isn't the fish oil, but rather the algae the cold-water fish eat, so they are all vegetarian with the same benefits!
Good luck! I grew my hair out from punk short to the middle of my back--it can be done!

Maybe your hair is trying to tell you something.
A few years ago, my hair whispered sweet nothings to me, but I ignored it. Now, that's what I have -- nothing.
Good Luck!
