I'm not looking for the answer 'Gastric bypass,' I'm looking for a different procedure that is similar to that and I'm not sure of the name of it.

Best and cheapest: No food. Always works. Even the fattest who enter a concentration camp get skinny. You do not retain water. You retain food.
You might try my method: One can of Boost for breakfast and two each for lunch and dinner. I
I lost 50 pounds in five months that way. During the duration you are not allowed to feel sorry for yourself and think you have to have solids or salads or anything extra. Nose to the grindstone, and that is it. Good luck!
