Here's a quote that I read the other day when I was online, and I really am beginning to think it's true...
It goes like this: "Friendship often ends in love; but love in friendship-never."
What do you think?

Well, I feel that true friendship and true love go hand in hand. How can you love someone who is not a friend, first?

But does love never end in friendship?

Well, I know of ex-couples who are definitely still friends. Sometimes, the new BF or GF even accepts this friendship (but not often!)

I, speaking from personal experience, am not an enemy with anyone I have ever loved, and am still friends with most.

So I would have to say that "never" is too strong a word. However, as the question implies, when the love actually ends, (if it really does) then there may no longer exist a foundation for friendship - depending on the circumstances of the break-up.

i absolutly agree with this

my girlfriend and i started out as friends and our friendship has now blossemed into a lenghty relationship but i know that if we were to break up for some reason we could never go back to anywhere near the level of friendship that we had before because it would hurt to much and i am way to proud

makes sense especially "love doesn't end in friendship" makes me think of marriage and divorce, of course it's not in all cases.

That's a nice quote....and you're right, when you sit and think about it, it really is true.

Thanks for sharing. I like that one.
