Inside-Out Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes:4 1/2 dozen cookies
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups white baking chips
1 cup chopped nuts
1. Heat oven to 350ºF.
2. Mix sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir in vanilla milk chips and nuts.
3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove form cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
(Total time will vary; cook or bake time is per batch.)

DIRECTIONS

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition. Combine the cocoa, flour, and baking soda, gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, fold in white chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until puffy but still soft. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

1 large egg
1 cup flour, plus
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
6 ounces white chocolate chips
1 cup powdered sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Beat butter and sugar, till creamy.
2. Add in vanilla and egg.
3. Combine flour and soda together, and beat into the butter mixture.
4. Stir in chocolate and coconut.
5. Drop by teaspoon onto buttered cookie sheet Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, cool 1 minute before removing to a rack to finish cooling.
6. Once completely cooled sift powdered sugar over entire cookie.

Brown is from brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Cocoa is added to chocolate chocolate chip cookies. REgular chocolate chip cookies can use any chip (white, semi-sweet, milk chocolate, peanut butter, etc.)

WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. white chocolate chips
1/2 c. EACH lightly toasted almonds, chopped macadamia nuts and raisins
1. Cream butter until light. Gradually add sugars, creaming well until blended. Beat in vanilla and egg.
2. Stir together flour, salt and soda. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, blending well.
3. Stir in chips, nuts and raisins.
4. Drop by level tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes until golden.
5. Remove to wire racks to cool.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen.

I'm not sure of the recipe you are looking for, but I have a great, EASY one to share.
Chocolate Cookies
1 package devils food cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. water
2 eggs
1 cup white chocolate chips.
Combine all ingredients. Drop by tsp. onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.

Just use Nestle Tollhouse recipe and substitute white chocolate chips for the chocolate ones. Use white sugar instead of brown in the recipe..that will take out the darkness.
