Sure! I always become whatever it is that the current president is.
It's a good thing the homophobic, moronic, good-ole-boy is headed out soon, because I'm getting tired of poor grammar and this damned bbq sauce!

Well, I do not think that there are people who are Christians because the president is one. I certainly am not a Christian because the bafoon that is the president is one. I wouldn't be an atheist if whomever our leader is happened to be one. However, at the same time, I wouldn't mind an atheist being a leader. This is a secular government, and religion shouldn't play a role in political races. I do think some people use Christianity as a political platform, and it's degrading to the faith and the followers of it.

This is an interesting question. If Bush, for example, decided to become an atheist, I believe his already low approval rating would drop to 0. However, during the Clinton years, I wonder how many would become atheists if he renounced his faith and became one. My guess is that there would be quite a few.

No. I am currently an atheist, but I would not follow a president's religious beliefs as a precedent for my own religion.

What kind of question is that?
As for Bush, if he said that the sky was blue, I would have to say to say that its green.
Looking at the atheist track record, the answer to your question is probably "yes." Historically, every time an atheist becomes the Commander and Chief of any nation, you see mass de-conversions. Unfortunately, they are seldom voluntary.

That's a weird question. I already am an atheist, but, I don't think a President's theological standing would affect what I believe either way.

No. If George Bush were an atheist I would force myself to find god.
