It would take a long time to explain. A Muslim is one who believes that there is no god but God and Muhammad is the messenger of God. Allah revealed His will and His commandments to the Prophet Muhammad of Mecca in the 7th century A.D. These revelations are recorded in the Koran, the Holy Book of Islam. Basically from my readings, Muhammad plagiarized a lot of the Judo/Christian principles, and changed the name of a few biblical characters to suit its purpose. Arabs believed in many gods (about 360?), of those Allah was the greatest. All this was after Christ. It is the youngest religion. Pretty interesting but I can't buy it. I am sold on Jesus

Be open, straightforward and blunt. i'm Catholic, I accept as true with some issues Islam says... fairly, there view on divorce. God/Allah would truly have human beings divorce a significant different who doesnt lead them in the route of a holy life, than stay married to them. The Catholic Church's and mainstream Chrsitian view of until eventually death do you area is incorrect. No loose individual ought to ought to stay in a wedding ceremony the position their significant different is best them down the incorrect route. more suitable, I actually trust that Ishmael became the son to be sacrificied by Abraham, no longer Jacob. because, Ismael seed spread for the time of North Africa and Arabia. And, the covenant between God and Abraham became Christ. the first tribes to settle for Christ were Africans and Arabs - no longer Jews. it really is why the Apostles had to flee Jerusalem to spread the international - to the genuine recipients of the covenant.

Islam is the belief that Allah (the Arabic name for God) is the sole creator of everything that exists. He created the entire universe and everything in it by Himself, He controls the affairs of the universe by Himself, and He is the true owner of the universe. Because Allah created the universe by Himself, and because He runs the affairs of the universe by Himself then Allah should be worshipped by Himself. Allah is unique and there is nothing like Him. He hears everything, sees everything, and knows everything and He has power over everything. There is no one who has these qualities except for Allah (God), and it is not possible to compare the Creator with the creation. Allah does not sleep, become tired, nor die. The Muslims prays direct to Allah without any mediator in between. Muslims believe in all the Prophets, the first being Adam the last being Muhammad, peace be upon them all. Muslims believe that all the Prophets came with the same message, that being to direct all forms of worship to the Creator alone. Muslims believe that Jesus the son of Mary was a great Prophet, born of a virgin birth from his noble mother Mary; but he is not the son of God and he should not be prayed to, nor did he die for the sins of mankind.

Islam is a religion of peace, brotherhood, honour and kindness. Islam is believeing in Allah (s.w.t.), praying salat 5 times a day, fasting in Ramadan, paying charity, respecting parents, friends, neighbours. Islam is defending urself, ur family and ur religion when necessary. Islam is logical, essential rules of human life without any statements like "hate and kill everyone".

TS's answer is completely rubbish. No one knows the true origin of Hinduism and even "Hinduism" is not the real name. What nonsense..Hinduism was named after Hindus.

ISLAM

A religion deeply respected by most people.A religion about love, truth and peace. A religion that ALLAH created and HE is the MERCIFUL & THE MASTER OF THE WORLDS.There is no other GOD but only ALLAH.

The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word "Islam" itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of "Allah" and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah's "God's" religion; the total submission to the will of Allah "God". The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the only true god worthy of worship "Allah" and anyone who does so is termed a "Muslim", The word also implies "peace" which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allah. Hence, it was not a new religion brought by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) I in Arabia in the seventh century, but only the true religion of Allah re-expressed in its final form.

Islam is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. The name of God's religion lslam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man.
