why shouldn't i take antihistimines if i have high blood pressure?

The decongestants that are in a lot of antihistimines, such as phenylephrine, and pseudoephedrine, produce a narrowing of blood vessels. This leads to clearing of nasal congestion, but it may also cause an increase in blood pressure in patients who have high blood pressure.

Because it will increase your blood pressure.

antihistamines increase your blood pressure, so if your BP is already high, it will become higher, which can cause death
