OK so get this, my account was disabled because I was reported for violation by some pansy.. I'm not sure what happened but I probably made a smart comment to some idiot's posting.

So anyway, I go to log on to My Yahoo! and its locked out, I cant use my old username cuz it's disabled for violating Yahoo! Answers code of conduct... or some complete crap.

Why?? I did not break the rules in some overt way. Yahoo is playing to the lowest common denominator of society by placating to the whiniing of the stupid people that use this site.

Why am I paying the price for stupid people? If there was a God, stupidity would be painful.

There are people on this site who will report others out of pure spite

incidentally, can I please ask EVERYONE to complain about Violations when they are not warranted.?
A lot of people have been deleted recently after working very hard to get up to a level where they can ask and answer unlimited.

If you get violated for something that is NOT even close to being offensive, please report it with the email header "harassment by another user" and state that you do not deserve this violation. Say that it is harassment and you want the matter investigated and the REPORTERS account suspended.

I will be reporting EVERY one from now on

Lets stop the mindless yobs destroying our work

Just one point though. If you deserve the Violation - take it on the chin !

It depends. What exactly did you say that was reported? The reason I'm asking is because they don't close accounts that easily. There was some freak on Yahoo! Answers for 4 months that got to level 4 90% of his answers we suggesting killing people. He even asked a question suggesting he was a serial killer. He said that he had killed 3 women and wanted to know how he should kill his next victim. It was sickening - and people were complaining for months.

You don't have a Yahoo Answers account. It is part of your Yahoo email account. You have the option of participating in Answers or not.

I asked the question....

"Can vegetarians eat animal crackers?"

and some vege-boy got hurt about that.... so the next day in my inbox, i had a thing about something... so i had to look over the code of conduct thingy.... or some community thing.. but i hope that doesnt happen to me...

people shouldnt get but turn over some response... because they asked the question, Right?...

No, but one of my answers was flagged for abuse. Lost 11 points for it.

It was totally, unfair. The asker was a telemarketer.

what exactly happens to the data in your account if they deactivate your account? do they hold it, delete it, use it for advertising, hold it to punish you if your views are different than views supported by huffpo and yahoo..
