spandex for men are usually just reserved for track and field competitions. u'd never see any top flight sprinter/runner wearing shorts riding halfway down ur crack like many of the kids wear today...it just going to be bothersome when running ur best to wear those.
as for casual running outside...u can wear low riding shorts since ur most likely not running against anyone and doing it for fitness/leisure. if u wear spandex and/or high riding running shorts u may get heckled by passers by. thats it.

I, for one, fancy men in spandex. Since spandex was sort of the style back then, I think of it as period clothing and accept it. But today, spandex, worn by men, just wouldn't work. I don't like spandex on dudes in general, though.
Plus I think that spandex for men, in sports, is appropriate since it's for sports, only.

The only cool men in spandex are running off a cliff.

No, my first reaction is to attempt against them to the floor and hate them see you later as they're donning a singlet that isn't from my college. (i'm a wrestler) Even interior the bathe room my primal reaction is to whip them with a towel. that's in basic terms whilst they wrap themselves in a towel to I could make effective i'm donning the two tighty whities and pants.

when running/exercising why not.
keeps you warm running outside in winter, less friction when running,
other guys that say anything bad about it are fat couch potatoes whose only running is to the fridge or cupboard for more cheezies and beer between commercials, only time outside is getting in the car to drive to the beer store
