Not only do they shed year round, when the females come out of heat they do what is called "blowing" their coat, which means that they loose their inner coat quite quickly!

Yes pomeranians like ALL double coated dogs shed year round. The only saving grace is they are small so it isn't as bad as a Siberian Husky shedding but if you have a pomeranian or any dog you will have loose dog hairs.

Yep. My mother has had 2 toy poms and one standard size. But I wouldn't consider it to be a huge amount of shedding. The one she has now just likes to rub himself all over the floor...strange dog and he's black so any of his hair stands out on mom's light carpets.

ALL dogs shed at least a little. From my experience labs shed the most and poddles and hairless dogs shed the least.
