I can certainly relate.
The very first time I was called for jury duty, I was empanelled for a capital murder trial. And I was chosen for the jury. And I had to give up a week of my life in the service of my country and the judicial system.
Talk about a baptism of fire!

When I was called to jury duty for the first time it was intimidating. First when I got there the room was filled with smoke and it was a sea of humanity. I sat until called and went to the court room. It was a criminal case and the questions were pointed and I answered my point of view and was selected. When it came time to sit down and debate the verdict all the opinions came out and in the end I think justice was served. I do not like it but will do my duty if asked.

There should have been someone there giving instructions. Perhaps you were not listening. I am glad to see you are doing your civic duty. I have been called for jury duty several times and have been through the lawyer questioning. We may not like it as a juror but if we were the defenant we would want them to do everything they could to make the trial fair. Chances are good that if you were not called you won't have to serve but you will want to check with the court you were called to and be sure. Tell them you were in the restroom or something when they gave instructions and did't think to stop by and find out for sure.

Hmmmmm i've got confidence a cat would do a great interest of it,a minimum of they may well be user-friendly approximately it, cats are keen on justice! yet actual a cat now this is relaxing, think of if the vendors in basic terms grew to become up with the cat what a humiliation for the courtroom, my cat i've got confidence would grasp the jury right down to purrrrrrrfection and be a whisker above something! paw prints every person?

I was on a jury twice. The first trial I was up for I knew everybody. I even knew about the incident. The second time it was a federal trial. I was the only black juror, the defendant was black. Guess who got picked? He was fine but guilty as h*ll.

You are not selected to the jury because you already served in the past. Maybe, they are letting others to serve their term.

Yes I have served and feel it my duty to do so. Not to feel that I should get out of duty because Iam a lawyer or doctor or someone that feels they are important. Everyone should serve when called.

I have... but haven't been selected. I guess you just got lucky that last time in that, there must not have been a case asking for a jury.

We don't have a choice. If they call us to serve, we HAVE to serve. It's part of our duty of being a United States citizen. Whether or not you're an idiot, I have no idea-I don't know you, but you didn't allow them to select you.
