My school is putting me on a field trip and dropping me off of the school at 12AM (MIDNIGHT). I have no ride home and can't hitch a ride from my friends (as of right now). What should be my choice (not my parents since they're sleeping and they'll get grumpy)?
Should I call the police? LOL (no buses at midnight :[)
And oh yeah, I got no money for taxi :\

If there is no way a friend or a family member can take you home, I would ask a teacher going with you on the trip or one of the other chaperones. I am sure if you explain your situation someone will be able to give you a ride.
By the way, have you ASKED your parents? I know it's late and they might be "grumpy," but I am sure they would rather get up to come get you than wonder if you are okay so late at night.

I'm sure you are not the only person going on the field trip. I agree, that if the school is sponsoring the trip, they have the responsibility to get you home safely. But, also, some of these trips are earned from band sales or other prizes/awards for performance.
Since others will be going with you, ask around to see if any of the other parents can offer a lift.
Finally, if my child was on a school trip, and didn't call me without a ride home, I would be upset. I personally think any parent that gets "grumpy" because their child calls them in need of a ride from a school function needs to re-evaluate their parental guidelines.
I might not like picking you up at midnight, but as a parent, it is my responsibility.

The school is responsible for your safety and should make sure all students are delivered to their homes or their parents custody, not to an abandoned school at midnight. If they do, call the police to have your teachers arrested then drive you home *lol* that'll only cost you a quarter

Your parents should ALWAYS be your first choice... I find it hard to believe that they would become grumpy or agitated to pick up their own son or daughter from a school sponsored activity. Ask them, you might be suprised :-D

You were probably notified well in advance by the school to secure a ride and didn't do it. So now you have a problem.
Don't you communicate with your parents? They are grumpy because you didn't take care of this when you SHOULD have!
