Okay, here it goes. I am recently divorced (about 6 months). While I was going through my divorce, a new guy was hired at work. He is very attractive, a bit shy, and very sweet. A friend of mine told him that he and I should go out together. He told her that he didn't want to be the "rebound man." That was about a month after my divorce. Well, since then, I have talked to him a few times, just briefly. He told someone that, "I'm very beautiful, but he is just out of a relationship and doesn't want to get involved." Keep in mind, I have never asked him out or to start a relationship. Anyways, about 1.5 weeks ago I gave my notice at work. A couple days ago, he asked me for my phone number and told me he would love to keep in touch now that I'm not working there anymore. My question is, does this mean he is interested in me?? Everything he has said to people shows that he isn't, but now I'm wondering. Thanks for any help.

signs are that this guy is interested in you. he is just taking it easy for 2 reasons. firstly he doesn't wanna be the guy you start dating just coz you are healing a heartbreak and secondly he is skeptical about dating again coz he too is just out of a relationship. the bottom line is he is taking things slowly and when a guy does that ,its the best..means he is taking you seriously. so take it easy..if he has taken your number down he will call you sometime and you too take it easy from there. have no expectations...that is half the problem solved. ride with the flow as the guy is for sure interested in you!

This is very interesting! I honestly think that he wants to just be friends for now. When he calls just talk to him like you would a friend. I think that is a good idea to start out like that. My last boyfriend is a bit shy, very attractive and sweet. We dated three and a half years and I think a big reason we broke up was because he's in the military and based at the Pacific Ocean.
