Do the following:

1. Get a license! This is important.

2.. Get permission. This includes:
* Neighbours
* Family
*house hold members

3. Make sure your daycare is a safe environment. Such as, No glass, Suitable gates, many toilets, beds, and no expensive, fragile valuables.

4. Research. Make sure you have the full education about children, and especially first aid. Include disciples. Do not over-discipline or under-discipline.

5. Make a timeable for the children, and re-arrange the salary. Make sure you have enough money to run your childcare, and sort out all the money stuff.

6. Find workers. Its going to be a bit harder, because you need a 24-hour run. Find night people, and day people.

7. Have it all ready and prepared. Such as all the decorations, and if you want, a mini van. Pick out a name as well, and the age group. Discuss the food, that is healthy and that parents wil be ok with.

8. Send out the invitations!

9. When have children, find out all their medications, etc.
Also make a roll.

10. Have fun! :)

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FIRST AID READY, AND THE PRESCRIPTIONS OF THE CHILDREN, MEDICATIONS, AND THEIR ALLERGIES TOO!

I am not a know all source but you need to make some guidelines for yourself 1st. What age limits are you willing to watch,, find out how many of what age range is legal in your state for you to watch. Consider your licensing,insurance, emergency situations & providing back-up care. Are you going to be strictly "at home based" or offer field trips? Does your vehicle support the ammount of children you intend to watch --- again emergency situation could you transport 6 kids to the ER if johnny needs stiches,, somtimes mommy & daddy are not in the office & dont answer their cell!
Most states mandate food guidelines,, keep in mind some children will be allergic to alot of foods & it's still up to you to maintain a daily balance of nutrician for that child.
These are just a few things to think of... if you did not flinch,, go google day care licensing for your state & that will start you off. Good luck -- I watch for & ask these questions about my son's daycare.

Well first you need to get a lisence. Then send out flyers. Then you need a lot of beds and stuff. (Because kids need to sleep) If you need more info you can look it up in Parents Magazine
