Do nuerological surgeons perform Spinal Fusion Surgery (arthrodesis) on lower back areas?

I know cervical surgery is common, but is it also common for the Sacrum and Lumbar areas of the spine?

Go see an orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in spinal surgery.

My BF and a friend of ours both had fusion surgery on low back. My friend in grade school had mid-back fusion due to severe scoliosis.

Yep, my doctor does both, as he's done my neck and my back is next.
