No you can not be a good muslim and also be also a homosex ual.He/she is not a good muslim if he/she makes a homosexual or lesbian.He/she is abnormal because Allah the only one God has created men and women for loving each other.Allah spoke in the Surah 7 Al A'raaf verse 80 up to 171 on the story of Luth prophet.Verse 80 Allah spoke that He has instructed Luth to his followers when he (Luth) said to them:Why you did a faahisyah(homosexual/lesbian) which was not done before you.7:81 Really you come to a man for releasing your lust not to a woman,so you acted more than your limit.7:82 His followers said chased Luth his loyal followers out of our town, because they have false sacred. In 7:83 Allah spoke that He saved Luth and his loyal followers except his wife (she was a lesbian) and killed of all homosexual men.In 7:84 Allah had thrown them by stones rain because they had great sin.
So in line with holy Qur'an,a muslim is not allowed to be a homosexual.:

You could be a muslim who is homosexual technically but that is not allowed in Islam so you won't be a good Muslim if you are.

I think what you mean is if you are allowed to be a muslim and a homosexual. (the answer is no)

If you live in a country controlled by a Royal decree using strict Islamic law then chances are the only way to release your urges are by doing things indiscreet with the same sex. It may not necessarily make you homosexual but it leads someone to be.

Islam is a religion between the believer and God. My personal opinion is it is wrong, but a greater wrong would be for me to discourage you from doing good (becoming Muslim). We all do wrong, and only Allah knows what is in each heart and has the right to judge. You can be Muslim, no one has the right to deny you. Again, it is between you and God and your personal journey and sprituall growth. ALL of us are doing wrong, so all we can do it give you are opinions, and leave you alone. My opinion, pray that he deliever you from Gayness, and pray for forgiveness.
God is All Knowing, and All Merciful. But either way, becoming Muslim is a good and blessed choice.

You can be anything you want to be, but that doesn't make it right. There are catholic priest pedophiles, Episcopalian homos and Muslim murderers, White supremist Christians and devout protestants who hate vile sinners. What a wonderful world.

Is that an absolute question or is it to provoke thoughts? Ask a question with a question and you never are alone. If you ask a question to defeat faith to find clever faith you are barking up the wrong tree.

In America, yes, I'd imagine you can. In Iran, or anywhere else with a religious regime, you still could, but don't expect to live for much longer if you're found out.
