Probably not.
Eating meat on a Friday during Lent is not a mortal sin.
Not just any sin will send you straight to hell. Only mortal sins can do that.
Sin is a deliberate thought, word, deed, or omission contrary to the eternal law of God.
A mortal sin is a grave infraction of the law of God that destroys the divine life in the soul of the sinner (sanctifying grace), constituting a turn away from God. For a sin to be mortal, three conditions must be present: grave matter, full knowledge of the evil of the act, and full consent of the will.
Most of the sins we commit are venial sins. Venial sin is a sin which does not destroy the divine life in the soul, as does mortal sin, though it diminishes and wounds it. Venial sin is the failure to observe necessary moderation, in lesser matters of the moral law, or in grave matters acting without full knowledge or complete consent.
However consistent unrepentant venial sins can slowly destroy your relationship with God and become mortal sin.
People die all the time with venial sins on their conscience and they will go to heaven.
With love in Christ.

Both are cut off from the presence of God. To what extent each suffers is a mystery.
The above person is wrong. We must not eat meat on Friday during Lent. The rest of the year it is optional but, a token of remembrance of the suffering of Christ is asked for on the Fridays of the rest of the year anyway, weather it is abstinance from eating meat or extra alms giving or visiting a nursing home or whatever but, yes, you ARE obligated to abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent. Geesh! I never in my life have seen so many people who have called themself Catholic and had no idea what the Church teaches. No wonder we get a bad rap.

That is an interesting question. Logic tells me that a person who ate meat on Friday and dies in an accident would not go to Hell. Not eating meat on Friday was a man made rule, it was not part of Christ's teachings. In fact, because the Moslem's who had ruled Spain for many years were pushed out of Spain, the Pope gave a special dispensation to Spanish Catholics that they were not obliged to not eat meat on Fridays. To this day. not only Spain, but its former colonies are not obliged to not eat meat on Fridays.

Bob feels like a repressed asshole with themes relating to female. He unquestionably isn't a Christian. He could be a Catholic yet as to being somebody who is familiar with, enable him/her without sin forged the 1st stone, the guy feels like an fool.I mean you could flow to church at night or interior the afternoon.Bob is the spawn of devil.for a fashion else are you able to talk of hell until eventually you know it. Julie sounds very superb.Jesus stated the final would be first and the 1st would be final and by utilising her sturdy works assisting human beings God will love her in spite of her ideals. Tim could desire to be greater proactive and sink his fangs into previous Bobs judgmental ***.And your maximum appropriate.there are a number of deluded fake Christians already thinking they're in heaven at an analogous time as arising hell on earth for many sturdy human beings like Julie basically attempting to make slightly of heaven right here in Bobs hell.

You must not be catholic. It is not a sin to eat meat on a friday in lent...in fact years ago catholics didn't eat meat on any friday of the year. It is just a sacrafice that we make in order to remain humble, but it is not a requirement and certainly wouldn't be a mortal sin.

The Catholic Church teaches definitively that only God can judge a soul.
No man, and no Church can determine the eternal destiny of any man, and there is no purpose to even speculate about it.
The only fact of the matter is, that objectively, certain actions are mortally sinful, if done knowingly, and with full consent of the will.
But the last two points are up to God alone to judge ... and rightly so.

Eating meat on a Friday in Lent is not a sin. The sin is in saying no to God. Lucifer said no to God and got kicked out of Heaven. Adam and Eve said no to God and got kicked out of the Garden. If you want to be in God's house, you have to follow God's rules. God gave Peter the authority to make rules for us here on earth that are recognized in Heaven by Him: "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven." (Matthew 16:19)
P.S. Hitler could be in Heaven, for all we know. He may have repented and died in a state of grace. The Catholic Church never assumes ANYONE is in Hell.

You never know, I would think he doesn't go to Hell because he has lead a good life, but you kind of convinced me other wise because God only forgives if you repent and if you truly want to be forgiven. That is why I think I don't know about any body else.

Well if humans are in charge of Heaven and Hell, then yes I guess this is what would happen.
Luckily GOD is in charge, A GOD of mercy, and understanding, so I do not have to worry about fair treatment of souls.
Peace.
