DONT SHAVE!
thick nasty hair can be removed quite effectivly by waxing it all off but please go to a proffesional as they will apply appropriate after care to the affected area if there are any skin conditions or problems.
chicken like skin is most likely skin trama from previous shaving and could be perminant damage or if not your beautycare proffesional will be able to advise you on the beat treatment for your skin.
a few dark parts, most likely permenant
dark circles can once again be treated by a beauty therapist who knows what they are doing.
please DO NOT go to a hairdresser for cheaper waxing as they do not have the experience or training to treat skin conditions

Always use cream or gel before you shave the underarm. Hair conditioner works great as well. You could go for a waxing if you have a special event to go too. That makes a real clean removal. But for the cheapest, just shave but use a good shave cream or conditioner. And don't rub the skin there. Shave with a good blade that's not dull, and it should be alright. No one will be staring at your pits, so don't worry. You won't be in that position long enough, unless you're posing! After you shave, use one of those in-shower body conditioners, where you smooth it on after washing then just rinse off in the shower. Like a hand lotion for your armpits! Olay Creme Ribbons is good!

There are a couple of options for you. You can consider having them waxed, this will take care of the hair and it will appear finer compared to shaving. This will most likely take care of the "chicken skin" you are describing also, which is most likely caused by skin irritation from shaving and/or ingrown hairs. The dark areas could be either bruising (in that case they just have to heal) or hyperpigmentation from damage. If waxing isn't the route you want to go, then make sure that when you shave you are using a shaving cream to prep the skin and hair, so you will get less irritation, there are also body washes available with AHA that help remove dead skin and prevent ingrown hairs. Also look for products meant for the bikini area to prevent "bumps" and irritation after and between shaving. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Don't pick at your skin... try an antiperspirant w. moisturizer to help soothe/heal the skin. Use a shaving cream when you shave, and do it as the last thing in the shower so your skin has time to soften up. Shaving irritates skin, so go as long as you can between shaves so your skin can heal. Shave the day of the dance and you should be ok.

Shave em. Do not shave in the opposite direction which your hair grows it causes razor bumps, its that simple. Dark parts are overly pigmited areas of your skin and will vanish over time. make sure your razor is new and you have shaving cream and your fine, do not be cheap and use an old razor and soap, thatll cause razor bumps and irratation go out to target and do some shopping for shaving products!
