All three of my kids are responsible for making their beds, keeping their toys picked up and putting all their clean clothes away (ages 12, 11, 7) The older two rotate doing the dinner dishes and washing one load of laundery a day. The 7 year old is in charge of making sure the dogs have food and water every day and wiping off the counters. They are paid based on their age and they also lose money if they misbehave.

my child isnt old enough for major chores yet but she does help clean her room and pick up shes only 2 but when i was growing up my parents paid me 50 cents a day to take out the trash and sweep the kitchen. my sister had to do the dinner dishes and my brother had to feed the animals and take out the scraps. I think those are good chores for kids to do. You can also have them put away laundry and groceries help do the laundry run the vaccum etc.

When I was about five I would go and visit my aunt and she would have me help her dust and give me lots of change, to me the more change the better. It didnt matter if it were quarters, dimes, nickles, pennies, I was happy and I thought I was the richest person alive. Then she would take me to go buy something, (of course I didnt have enough, she would pay the rest, but I didnt know any better or didnt care) It was my money and I earned it. Then when I got older, my parents used to give us pretty good allowences. Usually about 40-60 dollars a month if we did all our chores an everything that was asked of us. It teaches some responsibility.

I am a kid, but I will tell you what my parents have me do. I wash the dishes and clean the bathroom and my room. In return for the chores I get food, no money whatsoever. I am 13.

We have a "good job jar" that we will put money in after they do their chores but every chores is worth different amounts of money. EX..Cleaning their room for a week is $0.50, helping another sibling with their room is another $0.50, my oldest daughter is 7 if she cleans her cats litter box for the entire week she gets $1.00. My middle daughter is 5 her $1.00 job is feeding the pets for a week. My youngest is only 3 so his dollar job is helping me clear the plates from the table every night. They all must pick up their toys from the rest of the house every night free of charge:) And they can earn extra money if they want to help with one of my "jobs" putting away clothes, wiping down tables, ect ect..but as they get older their jobs get harder and they get more of them.

my Daughter is 14 and my son is 11.
Both my kids have to clean there rooms.
My son has to take the trash out and when it snows he shovels the walk ways.
My daughter folds laundry and empties the dishwasher and they both take turns vacuuming.I have a son who is 21 and married and he is a Great house keeper. He and his wife share the chores.
They don't get an allowance but if they do get rewarded if there is something they want and have done a good job then I will buy them something. My 2 younger kids do get a quarter for every 100% paper they bring home and show me.

My 5 year old is in charge of keeping toys out of the living room, he has to keep his room clean, and he helps his dad feed the dogs. I give him $1.00 a day if he does his chores. I think that it teaches him responsibility.

i dont have kids yet, but when i was a kid - i had to clean my own room, help my mom or dad with whatever they were doing or were gona do. it could be anything from doing dishes to working in garden.
i was just getting lunch money. if i wanted something else i had to ask my parents for money for that specific thing, or if i was going somewhere they gave me some money.

My son (6 yrs. old) and my daughter (5 yrs. old) clean their rooms, feed the dog and turtle, help put away groceries, and pick up after themselves.
I don't give them money for it, I tell them what big kids they are and what good jobs they do. I think they need to know it's just expected of them.
